The American Junior Folding Wing JET
A model under development by Frank Macy before his death in 2009. Using a prototype and parts he developed, we have come up with a version that should be very close to the model he intended to build.

American Junior Folding wing Jet
This is the NEW Folding Wing Jet from American Junior Classics. This model incorporates a new swept back wing design, much like the later Pursuits and Sonic-Jet used. Test flights have shown it to be a nice flyer. It uses the "straddle wire," shown in this photo, to adjust the angle of attack of the wing for the best glide. We think Frank would approve of this addition.

This model comes with the adjustable straddle wire. You can bend it to adjust the angle of attack of the wing.

You fold the wings back on the Folding Wing Jet just like it's sister plane the "Plain Jane." You launch it high into the sky, at over 100 feet the wings snap open and the model goes into glide mode. The wing pivot sequence can be seen below.

Direct decendent of the famous A-J Folding Wing Interceptor by Jim Walker. The folding wing mechanism has been updated from metal to plastic with exeptional reliability. This design is actually based on a prototype that Jim Walker's company was working on before his death. There is a lot of history behind this design.

It is unmarked, so "U-Color It" yourself with felt tip colors to your own pleasure, or leave it in it's all natural pure balsa glory. It comes Ready-To-Fly, just hook up the wing rubber & it's ready to grab some sky. Launching Instructions Included.

The A-J Classics Store is closed until further notice. We are not currently making new planes.
